Leadership

Amy Horne

School Director

Amy opened our preschool in August 2017 and has grown an amazing program in the five and a half years since. Her passion for early childhood education has led to this dream of a christ-centered K-5 school becoming a reality. Before becoming a director, Amy got her degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Houston Christian University and taught for a few years in public elementary school. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Educational Administration and Principal Certification from Houston Christian University. Amy is strongly motivated to create a safe, engaging and quality school that all parents can feel confident sending their children to.

Emily McKenzie

Assistant Director

Emily has been with our team since we opened over five years ago and has worn many hats since. She is always ready to jump into a classroom and help support teachers and children however she can. She is passionate about all things fun and making childhood as magical as possible. Emily strives to create an environment where all children feel safe and loved so that they can best grow and learn.

Chelsea Cuadra

Curriculum Coordinator & Administrator

Chelsea has been an administrator at our school for three years. Before joining The Oaks Preschool she was a Kindergarten teacher for 4 years and taught PreK for 3 years before that while working on her teaching certification. She graduated from the University of Houston with a BFA in Theatre and is truly passionate about finding creative, fun and hands-on ways to learn.
