Preschool Curriculum

We have developed our own theme-based curriculum for our preschool as we felt like this was the best way to incorporate exactly what we wanted and for each age group's curriculum to build upon each other effectively. Our teachers receive premade bins every month with ready to go activities and a curriculum guide to implement each theme easily and efficiently.

Infants

Yes, we even have a curriculum for babies! Our infant curriculum operates around a different theme every month to engage children and build vocabulary. We read to our babies, do sensory activities, work on fine and gross motor skills, and teach basic sign language and communication skills. We are very intentional about interacting, singing and talking to our babies all day so they get as much exposure to language and expression as possible!

Toddlers

Starting in our one year old classrooms we start doing daily, structured learning times! Everyday children participate in circle time, story time, art, bible, music and lots of active play time on our playground and in our gym. Our toddlers also learn about different themes every month such as dinosaurs, on the farm, winter, transportation and much more! In our one year old classrooms we focus on vocabulary building, social emotional learning, colors, counting, and shapes. In our two year old classroom we review colors and shapes and continue to work on building vocabulary skills, but we also start introducing letters, numbers and counting using one to one correspondence.

PreK

Our PreK classrooms grow in structure as children start participating in whole group learning, centers with their peers and independent practice for both language and math learning blocks. Our classrooms still stay fun and engaging with different themes every month and we also very intentional make their schedule a balance of learning and play so children are never sitting for extended periods of time. Children start solidifying their letter recognition and sounds in PreK 3 and start working on word families, blends and diagraphs in PreK 4 and 5. Many children will learn how to read during their time with us! We also do different math units throughout the year such as addition, subtraction, measurement and comparing! Children also engage in hands on science experiments and activities that go with their monthly theme. Children continue to learn about a different bible story each month but also begin to learn a monthly memory verse.
